When planning our wedding, the most difficult decision for us was undoubtedly the reception location. With a 500 person guest list, our main concern was that the chosen venue maintain a sense of sincere intimacy while reflecting an understated elegance.

Not only did the team at Fairmont Olympic accomplish this in an incredibly chic and graceful way, they far surpassed any expectations we had. The Fairmont Olympic catering team was incredibly dedicated to providing an incredible experience. From our delicious tasting meetings to the sweet notes and personal gifts in our bridal suite, we felt a sense of true hospitality.

Fairmont is known for its legacy of first class service. However, it was the sincere dedication of Rod Lapasin & Jamie Gansler that gave us an unfaltering sense of assurance. The personal care we received made us feel like we were dealing with a small family business. Each and every team member felt like a friend and the fact that we were excited to see them on our wedding day speaks volumes of the relationships we created throughout the wedding planning process.

Our wedding guests cannot stop talking about the breathtaking venue and the elite level of service they received at the Fairmont. We could not have wished for a more gorgeous setting or kinder more dedicated people to work with on the most important day of our lives.

I wanted to commend you and your staff for an experience that we and our guests will never forget. As one can surmise, a wedding can elevate emotions as every detail is examined and re-examined. Jamie was the consummate professional and very patient in managing the complexities of my daughter’s wedding.

Her demeanor is to be commended. I would also like to acknowledge Artis Kalson for his masterful work on the wedding cake and the groom’s cake. They were absolutely fantastic.

I had received assurances from Chef Gavin Stephenson that the food would be served hot. Not only were all the dinners served at the appropriate temperature , they were outstanding. I am not exaggerating when I say that almost everyone was extremely pleased with their dinner. Given the variety it is a testament to Gavin and his staff’s ability to prepare and serve this many.

I would like to say thank you to Olga Marco and Kirsten Lyons who managed the event until the end. They were attentive to our needs without impeding the proceedings. Finally Rod I would like to thank you for coordinating all of this.

The entire staff at the Fairmont could not have been easier to deal with. We have recommended this venue to our friends.

Dear Jamie,

Jim and I wanted to thank you and the Fairmont Staff for making our wedding so very special. As you know the Fairmont Hotel is a very special place for Jim and I. We have wonderful memories of celebrating birthdays, Thanksgiving and holiday shopping weekends at your hotel. We knew that when we got married it would be at the Fairmont.

You made planning our wedding so much fun and so easy. Your expertise as a wedding coordinator was so appreciated. You took care of everything from helping me with the flowers to choosing a DJ. Your recommendations were so helpful. The flowers that Toppers did were so beautiful and Emmanual, at Smooth Groove Productions did a great job on the music! Most of all we really liked how you got to know us and really wanted to make sure we had the perfect wedding and we did…Thanks to you!

On March 27th 2010…You and the wonderful staff at the Fairmont made all our wedding dreams come true. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by your friendly staff and treated like royalty. Each staff member made us feel welcome and they were truly excited that we chose the Fairmont to celebrate our wedding.

The Garden Terrace was so elegant with the candle light, gorgeous flora, to the china table settings and beautiful linens. It was so amazing! The food was fabulous and the staff was so helpful and so much fun! All of you catered to our every need and made our day so special. We did not have to worry about a thing you and your staff took care of every detail. Having this extra special attention gave Jim and me the ability to relax and enjoy our special day with your family and friends.

It was so nice to hear after we got back from our honeymoon how much fun all of our guests had as well. What a wonderful wedding. Jim and I will never forget our special day!

I was one of those girls who dreamed about my wedding my whole life….I waited to find my prince and as a Seattle native, had always envisioned getting married at the Fairmont. My husband is from Germany, so the setting was perfect with its old world elegance and charm – there is really no where like it in Seattle. After my 1st meeting with the Fairmont I knew that I was going to have the wedding of my dreams. The hotel staff is professional, meticulous with detail, calm, and made planning seem effortless and fun! My wedding day surpassed anything I could have ever dreamed – it truly was perfect in every way! Everything was thought ahead, the staff were amazing, friendly and beyond helpful…..and the food!!! The food exceeded our highest expectations as did our beautiful wedding cake, which was the best cake we had ever had! the staff was there to make sure everything ran smoothly – the vendors she recommended all were 5 star! I made sure to stop and take it all in throughout my day – it really was my fairytale wedding that we will never forget and we could have never done it anywhere else but the Fairmont!

After planning our special day for nearly a year and paying attention to every detail, our venue cancelled on us just two weeks before the big day!  Thankfully The Fairmont Olympic Hotel had our date available, but changing all of our vendors and notifying our 300 guests is no easy feat just two weeks beforehand.  Our Wedding Coordinator with the Fairmont, was able to seamlessly orchestrate the most beautiful day without a single glitch.  Somehow she was able to calm the anxious bride and assure us that everything, and I mean everything, would be handled with the utmost care.  The Fairmont is wonderful to work with!  They have a sharp eye for detail and a very calming presence about her.  Looking back I am so very thankful that our venue changed and I can’t imagine a more beautiful day anywhere else!  Friends and family continue to rave about our wedding day and I have to agree that it was unbelievably perfect.  It was a wedding unlike any other – the impeccable service, food and beauty at the Fairmont cannot be matched.

Six weeks after our magnificent day my father and brother were tragically killed in an airplane crash and the memory that we have of them is precious!  Our wedding day remains so very close to our hearts and was so special – It was really a celebration for the whole family and is now documented, savored and cherished forever for so many reasons – Especially because it showcased my beloved father and brother at their finest. I now realize more than ever how important it is to not skimp on service and compromise the day that you’ve always dreamed of because TODAY is all we have and tomorrow you may only have the memory of those that mean the most to you.  I hope those memories are as SWEET as ours are.

I knew I wanted to get married in the Spanish ballroom before I had even met my husband! We met in downtown Seattle so it was fitting to be married there as well. My mother and I met with the hotel shortly after I became engaged, the hotel team was wonderful in helping us decide which day to have the wedding, food, etc. The morning of the wedding the Fairmont’s town car took us to Pike Place where we took some lovely photos. Our hotel contact was there throughout the day to make sure everything was running smoothly and she did a superb job. My wedding was more wonderful then I ever imagined and so fun! The Spanish Foyer and Spanish Ballroom are so stunningly beautiful Justin and I feel blessed we have the lovely memories and photographs of our wedding at The Fairmont Olympic Hotel.
